For the What You Will Shakespeare Company
June 2016

The What You Will Shakespeare Company is a theatre company based out of the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign, devoted to modern interpretations of Shakespeare and his contemporaries. I approached them with an overhaul of their previous website that would allow them to establish a greater internet presence for them and their shows.

Owing to the energetic, quirky nature of the company, I created a website that was kinetic in nature while still being professional. The link to the homepage uses a flipbook-style animation to suggest a portal to all the work they do. GIF buttons feature elsewhere in the site, such as in the links to social media and photos/videos of performances. Elements of the site animate smoothly in to create a clean and modern feel.

Navigationally, the site is meant to give visitors an easy time finding the information on the shows they want to see. Show pages prioritize the information show-goers need to know directly in the header of the page. Shows also feature prominently on the front page and on the marquees on the upcoming season page.

The site is up and running at wywshakes.com.
